The award winning West End production by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical The Phantom Of The Opera is adapted from the Gaston Leroux’s gothic novel. The story of Phantom of the Opera is set beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House. On 9th October 1986, the London musical made its grand debut at the Her Majesty’s Theatre. The show starred Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles.

The Phantom of the Opera has become one of the most successful theatre productions of all time. The story of Phantom is set beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House where the Phantom is hiding as a shadowy existence. Due to his physical appearance, he is feared by all at the backstage and public areas.

The Phantom falls in love with a young and gorgeous chorus singer, Christine Daaé.  He transforms her into a star and asks her to spend her life with him. However, she was rescued by her lover which breaks the heart of Phantom and vows revenge. One of the key highlights of the blockbuster show is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerising score. The show is a complete audio visual treat for theatre lovers as it is set against the jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects.

The tragic love story is a complete treat for music lover. Currently, Ben Lewis portrays ‘The Phantom’ at Her Majesty’s Theatre, and also portrayed the role in the original Australian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sequel Love Never Dies, featuring Kelly Mathieson as ‘Christine Daae’ and Jeremy Taylor as ‘Raoul’.

The Phantom of the Opera is the winner of 50 major theatre awards, including three Olivier Awards in the West End and seven Tonys on Broadway. The show also won the Olivier Audience Award, voted by the public, in the year 2016 Laurence Olivier Awards. Currently, the show The Phantom Of The Opera is running in London, New York, Budapest, Stockholm and on tour in the US.

The show has entered in its 31st year and still captivating audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre

The show has given more than 12,000 performances. It has reached $6 billion across the globe with more than 140 million people enjoyed the show in 35 countries and 160 cities in 15 languages.
