IVF Transfer is a blessing for the couples fighting infertility. Many couples even after years of trying cannot become parents. An anomaly in their biological structure creates a malfunction on their reproductive system. It can at times, lead to infertility and other issues. With the tremendous development in the field of medical science, couples can now become parents. The procedure of IVF is nothing lesser than science fiction. In this procedure, initially, medicines are given to the woman. These medicines suppress her menstruation cycle. Next, another dose is administered, which stimulates the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. In the last step, the eggs are extracted and stored for further use.

The procedure continues in the laboratory, henceforth. The eggs extracted from the woman are fertilized with a sperm, in a sterile environment. Later on, an embryo is transferred back to the woman’s uterus. If everything goes correctly, the fetus would successfully grow and develop. And, after the completion of the pregnancy, the doctors would be able to bring it into the world.

This embryo transfer is probably the most anticipated part of the IVF treatment, where the doctors can do nothing but hope for the best. According to a doctor, with maximum IVF success rate in Kolkata, this is the stage that decides whether the woman is going to be pregnant or not. In this stage, it is all up to the body and probability. But, there are few things that people can keep in mind for a successful embryo transfer.

Checking for hydrosalpinx:

Hydrosalpinx is very harmful to the developing embryos, transferred recently to the uterus. These are fluid like substances present in the fallopian tubes of the woman. Hydrosalpinx is mostly linked to either endometriosis or any sexually transmittable diseases. It can hamper the development of the embryo.  And, one of the possibility is that woman might go through a miscarriage.

A woman undergoing an IVF treatment should be tested for a hysterosalpingogram as well as a USG. The test can determine whether unwanted fluids are present in the reproductive organs. If such fluids are present, necessary treatment could be started to remove them before going for an embryo transfer.

Stress-free:

Couples, while going for an embryo transfer, are mostly advised to stay stress-free. The stress release hormones in the body that can be harmful to the embryo. In most cases, these stress-induced hormones can fail the embryo transfer leading to loss of pregnancy in the early stages. According to experts, to stay stress-free parents can try yoga and other meditative exercises. These exercises can immensely help in reducing the stress and help in carrying out the embryo transfer successfully.

Transferring multiple eggs:

Couples over 40, should talk to the physicians regarding numerous eggs transfer in a single go. The recent studies have shown that older woman with double or higher embryo transfer has better chances of carrying at least one egg into full maturity. Although, several older studies have shown that with multiple embryo transfers, the possibility of Pre-eclampsia and early labor are higher. However, as per an Israeli survey, conducted on several women in their 40 were able to handle the pressure of multiple births. Thus, during the consultation, talk to the doctor about the possibility of multiple embryo transfers, and check what your doctor’s opinion regarding the matter is.

Do not take bed rest:

According to research, having bed rest after embryo transfer does not help. The recent studies show that woman who makes it slow and sits upright for a period have better chances of successful embryo transfer. So, this time after the procedure, head out for lunch and then for a movie. Spend the days without thing what the outcome of the process would be.

Having a baby might become little tricky for few. For such couples, the IVF treatment came into existence. However, sometimes these procedures require multiple attempts before yielding any results. With the help of the given pointers, the chances of having a successful embryo transfer might be easily possible.
