Finally when a lot of time was spent on searching various websites online, Radisson Blu Resort and Spa, Alibaug caught my eye. Radisson Blu Alibaug is one of the best hotels (luxury) in alibaug to stay at. This polished resort is 2 km from Veshvi Lake, 4 km from Varsoli Beach and 100 km from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. I consider this as the best birthday gift ever.

It took us around 3 hrs to reach radisson blu hotel. As a ritual we took a hault at lonavala to eat the famous vada pav and some upma for our little kiddo shanaika, and few chocolates too. You really can’t be so strict on pinics. We decided to have lunch on the way as the check in time was 3.00pm which was too late for having lunch in the hotel. Entering Alibaug reminded me of an old road trip which will be covered in different blog.

Anyway back to the article, finding the place was easy but the approach road was not as expected. Narrow road going though a village, and after sometime we really thought we were off track but then…we could see huge entrance and then we could hear a sweet voice from the mobile (GPS navigation – You have reached your destination). On entering the hotel we were welcomed and asked to be seated in the well maintained inviting ambiance of the reception area with sofas and traditional pillows.

After finishing all the formalities at the reception which was quite smooth, we headed to our room which was on the 2nd floor of the hotel. I couldn’t stop myself from filming the video of the room before we unpack our bags. Video is not of high quality, it is whatever I could capture from my mobile.

A lavish room with • 1 large double bed • Minibar • Bath • Safety Deposit Box • Telephone • Air conditioning • Desk • Toilet • Bathroom • Satellite Channels • Flat‐screen TV • Sofa • Electric kettle • Wardrobe/Closet • Balcony was worth the price.

Amenities & Services:

We immediately wanted to explore the place but as shanaika slept we stayed in the room. Finally we got a chance in the to explore the place, a walk through the lobby lead to a area which my daughter just loved to the core “the game zone” after spending sometime we explored the library, a well-equipped fitness center, temple at one corner of this property, music room where you can request for your kind off music to be played, gaming zone for adults, swimming pool, spa, restaurants, variety of birds (in a cage though).. few villas for large families…and so on…Needless to say their amenities also include free Wi-Fi.

Dinner ordered that night was lip smacking and delicious.
