Corporate gifting and bribing are not the same. Giving a wine bottle to your clients is not a good idea as it looks more like a bribe, not a corporate gift. You should know the difference between what is a corporate gift and what is not. While a gift is used to say thank you a bribe is used to persuade, there’s still a fine line between the two. The wrong gift at the wrong time could put you in the spotlight. Here’s how to not get yourself in trouble.

So you should know about the relationship between you and the receiver and then decide upon which thing you’ll gift. You should encourage other employees to consider the ethical implications before giving and receiving gifts; and offer additional help for those who work in the field involving gift giving. You can even share your policies with the people who might gift you something to make sure the gift giving takes place in a ethical manner.
