Electronic Health and Mobile Health:– Electronic health means the use of information and communication satellite, patient monitors etc. for health services and information. Mobile health is a subset of electronic health. Mobile health means practice of medicine and public health supported by mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablets and PDAs. These devices are used for collecting community and clinical health data, delivery of healthcare information to patients, researchers and practitioners, ability to diagnose and track diseases, real-time monitoring of patient viral sign, direct provision of care to patients and expanded access to ongoing medical education and training for health workers. .

As it has emerged in recent years as largely an application for developing countries where there is rapid rise in mobile phone penetration in low-income people.
